The Bolivian Workers’ Central (COB) has declared an indefinite general strike against the Rodrigo Paz government’s decision to end fuel price subsidies.
Since the 22nd, various unions, mainly from the mining sector, have been holding demonstrations in the capital, La Paz.
The Bolivian government ordered the repression of the demonstrators with the use of tear gas by the police. Once again, capitalist governments are trying to increase their profits by offloading the costs onto the backs of the workers.
