A specter is haunting the 21st century: the specter of socialist revolution. Faced with an unprecedented civilizational crisis, the bourgeoisie and its governments try to convince us that today’s capitalist barbarism is the only possible reality. But we, the working-class and student youth, refuse to accept the role of a sacrificed generation on the altar of profit. The goal of the MPR is to build a party that fights for the construction of a party for the international socialist revolution, and the youth plays a fundamental role in building this revolutionary instrument.<\/p>\n
Capitalism Has Stolen Our Future<\/strong><\/p>\n The history of all societies up to the present has been the history of class struggle. Under contemporary capitalism, this war takes the form of a direct assault on the very existence of youth. We look ahead, and what do we see? Precarious jobs, the \u201cgig economy\u201d crushing us, environmental destruction, and the end of the right to retirement.<\/p>\n The liberal promise that individual effort guarantees success has collapsed. Under capitalism, young people have no future. We have been condemned to work ourselves to exhaustion in order to enrich a minority of billionaire parasites, while access to higher education, culture, and decent housing is denied to us.<\/p>\n The Bankruptcy of False Alternatives<\/strong><\/p>\n In the face of this reality, there are those who claim to defend the people but, in truth, act as firefighters extinguishing popular revolt. The reformist and institutional left-wing parties are not an alternative for the working class.<\/p>\n By choosing class collaboration, alliances with the bourgeoisie, and the administration of the crumbs offered by the capitalist state, these leaderships have betrayed the aspirations for change. They disarm our class, restrain struggles in the streets, and create the conditions for the growth of the far right. We do not want to reform what is already rotten; we do not want to humanize exploitation. History has already shown that class conciliation serves only to keep the same oppressors in power.<\/p>\n Today’s radical left is bureaucratic and becoming increasingly bureaucratized; it no longer presents a revolutionary program for Brazil or for the world. Radical left parties and movements, subjected to reformist and conciliatory pressures, use the fear of the far right to justify capitulating to a broad front with the Workers\u2019 Party (PT) and Lula in order to defeat the far right electorally. Today, Lula and the PT are the foremost representatives of the Brazilian bourgeoisie within this bourgeois democracy. These same movements that capitulate to Lula and the PT forget that the primary objective of the working class is not the electoral defeat of the far right within bourgeois elections, but the international socialist revolution.<\/p>\n Our Tradition: The Relevance of Permanent Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n We uphold the tradition of internationalist revolutionary Marxism. We understand that the struggle of young people is inseparable from the workers, women, Black people, and oppressed peoples across the world. As the theory of Permanent Revolution teaches us, the achievement of our most basic democratic demands can only be secured by advancing toward the destruction of the bourgeois state and the construction of socialism.<\/p>\n We are neither social media activists nor office-bound militants. We are internationalists. We understand that the suffering of a young Palestinian, an app-based delivery worker in S\u00e3o Paulo, or a student on strike in Europe is the same suffering we feel, caused by imperialism and capital.<\/p>\n Workers of the World, Unite!<\/strong><\/p>\n The Communist Manifesto reminds us that the proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains, and they have a world to win. We, the Morenist revolutionary youth, take up this task for our own time.<\/p>\n We will not accept the misery of what is merely possible. We organize our rebellion with method, theory, and democratic centralism in order to intervene in the real class struggle, in our places of study and work.<\/p>\n If you also feel outraged by this system and reject the hesitant solutions offered by the domesticated and bureaucratic left, your place is with us.
